Make This Your Discerning Year Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity discernment experiences can be as varied as your life allows. We invite you to design your own visit with us. Let us know the days or the hours that you would like to come. If you are interested in a retreat with a particular topic or an event in our Community of Sisters, please continue reading for more specific dates. All in-person events in Wisconsin take place at our Motherhouse, 2409 South Alverno Road, Manitowoc, Wisconsin. However, we are always ready to make plans to meet our Sisters in any of our convent homes. Franciscan Sisters Offer Discernment of Spirits Retreat

Are you a 20-something young woman discerning if God is calling you to religious life or to married life or to single life? Or seeking to follow His will more closely? Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity, Sr. Jacqueline Spaniola, is offering a silent retreat, October18-20, based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. The Spiritual Exercises are a timeless and always useful “exercise” to guide you in the spiritual life as you seek to do God’s will. Most free time will be spent in silence in order to pray and to ponder how God is working in your life. The retreat begins Friday, October 18 at 6 p.m. CST, and ends after a noon meal on Sunday, October 20. Desiring some 'retreat time" to visit a convent with other discerners? Catholic Young Adult Women are invited for an experience of Franciscan Life at our Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity Motherhouse in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Plan ahead to be with us. September 20-23 October 3-5 (Celebrate the feast of St. Francis of Assisi with us!) November 1-3 December 6-8 (Celebrate Advent with us!) January 17-19 February 14-16 (Celebrate Valentine's Day with Jesus and us!) March, April, May TBA Coming to our home, you will have an opportunity to have conversations with many Sisters. Expect some significant quiet moments to reflect on God's great love for you.
