Franciscan Sisters' Summer Discernment Options

In the good ol' summer time, Franciscan Sisters  of Christian Charity are ready with possible discernment opportunities that fit your own inspirations.

Face to Face Meeting

Desiring to just have a leisurely conversation with a Sister to ask a few questions? We can meet you at a coffee house or church, or even at a park. Road trips are no problem. Call or text Sister Julie Ann 920-3232-9632 and we will plan a date that fits your schedule.

Scriptural Continuing Education Course

Sister Jacqueline is the instructor for a 5 day class June 26-30 with 2 hour sessions on Jesus, the Bridegroom. Author Brent Pitre shows the key to unlocking the mystery of the "bridegroom" found throughout Scripture from Mount Sinai to Mount Calvary. In essence, you will explore the divine love story of God and Israel and Christ and his bride. Consider our overnight Motherhouse hospitality and spend some time in prayer and study. We'd make sure you have some food and recreation. Click here to register.

FSCC Mini-Camino Pilgrimage

One way to get to know someone is to experience places that are dearly loved. Walk with us on the roads of the beginning of our Congregation on July 8. Come the night before and rest up the night after the journey. We will walk home with Teresa Gramlich from Whitelaw to Clarks Mills. Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Church. Following lunch at the site of our first convent, we will walk back to our Motherhouse. Click here to register and we will share further details.

Walking with Jesus in Our Lives Silent Retreat

St. Ignatius Loyola developed methods of contemplative prayer that help people grow on their pilgrimage. Many stories come alive on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land of Israel. Using stories and Scripture, this retreat will help us walk with Jesus, to know him more clearly, love him more dearly and follow him more nearly. Many of Ignatius’ meditations will be offered as guides to help us on our journey. Let us walk together. Father Kevin Schneider, SJ, directs this July 9-14 retreat. Expect helpful advice for discernment. Click here to register. Come a few days or all week.
