September 23-25: Called to Be Franciscan? On-line Retreat

Do you have a heart for the poor? Are you willing to love the less loveable? Do you desire a common life with like-minded women? Do you sense the Lord wanting to be closer to you? Is a simple life lived for the Lord attractive to you? Franciscan Sister Anne Marie Lom leads an on-line retreat responding to these values of St. Francis.  There is a group session in the evening on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 6:30 PM Central Time.  In addition Sister Anne Marie offers individual spiritual direction at a convenient time for each participant on Saturday and Sunday. No cost, but registration is required. Click here to register: Vocation Retreat Registration

September 30 - October 2: Jesus the Bridegroom Retreat at our Motherhouse In-Person in Manitowoc, Wisconsin facilitated by Sister Jacqueline Spaniola

Looking for a silent retreat on the theme of Jesus, the Bridegroom. Often we use the analogy of Shepherd and the sheep and the Vine and the Branches to speak of our relationship with the Lord.  The analogy used most often throughout Scripture is a Bridegroom and Bride relationship..  During the retreat we will explore the Scriptures (Old Testament and the New Testament) to reflect upon the Lord's desire to have an intimate relationship with each one of us. Expect time in Eucharistic Adoration, Liturgy of the Hours and Eucharist with the Sisters, as well as the opportunity for one on one spiritual direction. Sister Jacqueline Spaniola leads on this weekend prayer experience.  Begins at 5:30 PM on Friday and concludes at noon on Sunday. No cost, but registration is required. Note: Group discount on the Lake Michigan and Badger ferry is a possibility, and we will pick you up at the dock and bring you back. Lake Michigan is a gift that we mutually share from our Creator. St. Francis of Assisi loved Sister Water and so do we cherish this gift of nature so dear to us.

Design Your Own Visit

You are invited to come visit us at our Wisconsin Motherhouse or one of our convents in various geographic locations (e.g. St. Anne Convent, Chassell, Michigan) for a portion of a day or a few days while discerning God's call. It is our best way of sharing our spirit with you. Not only will you meet those in Initial Formation, but also many of our Sisters who have lived our Franciscan vocation and have experiences to share. Our homes also speak of our history and the many members who are part of our legacy as Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity. Dates can be quite flexible. Register here or call or text Sister Julie Ann at 920-323-9632.

Meet some of our Sisters also from Michigan's lower and upper peninsula who’ve discerned ‘across the sea’.
